Marilyn inspired me

I love the 50’s. Its photography, fashion, art and the then ideal of beauty are a source of inspiration to me. On a recent trip to Aix en Provence in France I visited Hotel de Caumont - Art Centre a fully restored private mansion from the 18th century. Its exhibition was dedicated to the iconic Marilyn Monroe.

Lots of photographs, fashion and videos were displayed. I enjoyed every second in that museum and I took it all in. It’s these peaceful moments I want to enjoy to the fullest, with the art I’m looking at speaking so loud to me.

When I got back home to Switzerland I was still thinking about the exhibition and the photographs and designs, which really blew me away. And that’s how I ended up with this modern vintage photography style & contemporary make up and accessory fusion project.

But of course, there is emotion and meaning behind these photographs. The torture of longing home, the person you love and admire with all your heart and soul. The feeling of abandonment and acceptance. The feeling of loss and gain. Thoughts torture while the soul remains peaceful and seeks for harmony.

“Something deeper than just love” Thank you. P.S I love you
